I installed an FJ60 distributor in the 2F in my '76 FJ60, and have another set aside for the '76 2F in my '71 FJ40. The outer vacuum port on both will be capped because neither of the FJ40s has a high altitude compensation (HAC) system. Given that the FJ60 advancer diaphragms can fail, new advancers are NLA, and good used ones are becoming scarce, it seems like a waste to continue to use these in Land Cruisers that don't need them. I'd rather see them made available for other Land Cruisers that still have HAC - late FJ40s and FJ60s. I wanted to see if there might be any interest in a new, OEM replacement single port advancer for non-HAC applications using late FJ40/FJ60 distributors. Based on some Internet research and bench work over the last couple of days I may have found an economical and easy to install retrofit using new OEM advancers used on other Toyota (non-Land Cruiser) distributors. Would it be worth my time to pursue this further?
