anyone else interested in a saturday over at Luis's place to get our trucks fine tuned and hang out for a few hrs. im thinking the last saturday in april. ??

Do you think there will time to replace a DS manifold? If so, what should I take? Besides manifold of course...

Like, intake manifold? Isn't it a one piece manifold or are you referring to the gasket?

Yes, DS intake manifold. It's a single piece. The kit comes with the gasket and all hardware. I have been wanting to replace it but I don't feel like giving away $500 to a shop. Two quotes for same amount.

So if you guys think we have time to do it in one day I'd like the help. Just tell me what I need to bring.

How hard can it be? As long as no one drops any sockets or bolts down the intake runners :hillbilly: we should be able to knock it out.

Just wondering why you are replacing it? Upgrade? Failure?

With all the experience you guys have it should not be too difficult or take too long. Manifold is cracked so i want to replace it.

he kept asking me to schedule a tech day on a saturday before gsmtr at his place. so here it is and he has yet to return my messages via his cell phone #. not sure whats up. if anyone else has his phone # and wants to try to reach him..

I dont mind volunteering my place. I have a 21 gallon air compressor, air ratchet, 700lb gun and a smaller 120lb gun. Typical wrenches, 4 3ton jacks. Grinding/cutting wheels and breaker bar.

I'm down for April 30th, last Sat of the month. Apopka,will be closer for me... I'll try to holler at Luis...

Tech session tomorrow at my place :) pulling transmission to find stuff hopefully not TOO messed up

i went to check out matts engine carnage... not good. that engine likely needs to get pulled out and gone through again. matts got a lot of talent for a young guy. he'll get going again

:mad::mad::mad::bang::bang::bang::crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:

What I thought was a bellhousing issue was actually the #6 rod bearing tearing itself to shreds.

Pulling the head off this motor, hopefully it's still good and putting it on my old bottom end.

Block and crank are both junk.
