It's a double cabin

Alas! We have an all LCLC cabin!
Not anymore. I am registered and cabin is paid for. I think it will be good to see all my friends and get my mind off the recent events. The wife agrees with me.

Jeremy, do you have a 35 inch spare you're bringing with you? Just trying to pre plan for anything going wrong, as I don't have my spare right now.

Also, do you guys want to meet Wednesday again like last year and caravan up? @GLTHFJ60 , @Fort Knox , and me are planning to meet at Sierra Nevada for an early lunch Wednesday and head on together from there.

Great to hear @Teddy ! Your family has been in our thoughts.

as far as I know, we're heading up Wednesday, and a meetup should be in order.

Jeremy has a 35" spare - you can see it from a mile away!

Awesome to hear, @Teddy I was thinking this might be good thearapy for you, but I wasn't sure how to approach it.
Glad I didn't have to.
Will be good to see you again, I think you made the right decision.
Still think about you every day,
I hope to leave early Wed, also.
We'll try to meet up, probably around Asheville

Apparently - we do not have accomadations secured for Wednesday night. I'll have my lil tent in the event that nothing comes up. Has anyone spoken to UC to find out if we have an ability to reserve the cabin for the extra night?

I've posted about it 3 times now with no response...I will just sleep in the back of the truck Wed, All the bunk houses are reserved, also.

Only 5 days left to preregister for GSMTR. Register at www.stlca.org/gsmtr/ to insure you get one of this year’s awesome T-shirts. You can register at the event but the price will be higher, you may not get a shirt and it make it harder for the event staff .

It is helps to be able to talk to the group. You can let them know if you have issues and trail leader can keep you informed of trail info

How important is it to have a CB on the trail?
Just buy a cheap hand held CB and a magnet mount antenna if you want one. It will be fine for how close we will be. BUT...you really won't need one if you're not leading or tail gunning a group. We won't leave you.

Just checking to see that y'all got the memo for Wednesday night...

It's only important if you want to talk to people and know what's going on. Or if you want to share things that may be going wrong with your vehicle and ask us to pull over or something. Or listen to Erik talk to truck drivers.

Yes, I saw the note on the UC thread, and paid an ádditional amount to supplement the Wednesday night stay. Thank you and Will for getting that squared away !

So I think I've got everyone's phone #s . I'm assuming that Dbenke, charlestongator, scott Johnson and Erik are going to be coming up from Charleston on 26 on Wed morning. Did y'all wanna meet somewhere on 26 and try to make it to Sierra Nevada by 11am or just meet up on 26 and head out to Windrock? I found a spare tire for the 4runner and I got the parking brake fixed so I think I'm ready to go!

Does anybody have a swr meter they can take to GSMTR? I may buy a cb and install it up there... If I can find some cash and a Uniden 510 at a truck stop on the way...

I'm game for meeting at Sierra Nevada, 1100 seems a bit sporty though. Noon or 1300 is more realistic for this crew. If we lived in Greenville or Charlotte, 1100 would be no problem. Erik is towing his 40, so we will be moving relatively slow. And we will inevitably have to stop and pee since we are all middle aged. I think noon is doable - 1100 is fine with me if everyone wants to leave at the asscrack of dawn. Tim does need his beauty sleep; I don't want to deprive him of this and listen to him on the CB complaining how his hair could have looked better if we just gave him another 20 minutes of sleep...
