I picked up a couple of new projects today that I want to have completed by next GSMTR. Did any of you ever have one of these as a kid? I didn't so I bought one for me and my son. Goal is to build one for me using the best parts, upgrade the susp. and maybe bore out the motor. Then throw all the leftover parts in a box for when my son wants to build his own.

I am not sure of the year but i had one that my uncle grew up on. It had a metal gas tank instead of plastic and was blue. Awesome as well. No doubt about it it would pull my fat @#$ even now if it still ran.

No, these are the real deal. Those we had were Western Auto type hardtails with cheap chinese engines. The engines were built up to around 9-13 hp and they had little to no brakes, and no suspension. Basically they were built for about $250-$500 and could run 40-6- mph.

These are Genuin Honda, and have susp., front and rear drum brakes, and a stock 49cc motor that puts out about 3hp with 3 speeds and no clutch.

The white one was bored out to 72cc so it has about 6hp and will run about 40 mph as is, but I am going to bore it out again and get a bigger carb to get it to about 9hp. I plan to put new HD shocks on the back, replace the front end with CRF50 dirtbike forks and paint it and run it. All total I will end up with 2 bikes and about $800 in both, but they will be all Jap. and all Honda. No Chinga crap for me.
