Does anyone have a part number for the ground strap for the transfer case? Can't find it on any diagrams. Might just get a generic one if I can't find OEM.

Edit, @Karbon seems to have confirmed this. Another tip: Check your transfer case carrier ground strap! - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/another-tip-check-your-transfer-case-carrier-ground-strap.1240292/

I'm wondering if it is P/N 82284-60130 (CABLE, GROUND. WIRE, EARTH)

Seems like a weakness, having that exposed braid down in the salt zone. Why not make up a proper cable with some #8 (or larger) wire, a couple of crimp ring terminals, properly shrink-wrapped?

Thanks but that's not it. I'm going to get a generic one. No difference with OEM its a braided copper wire. I noticed it was hanging by a thread when I was installing my skid plates. I was also having issues with 4Lo and the diff lock. Nothing major just a little slower. I spliced the old busted one with some copper wire and wrapped it with electrical tape and it's all back to normal. Stupid but simple temp fix.

That's exactly what it is. Salt. But there is a reason they make all ground wires braided and open. I have 167k on a 2009 that always lived in the salt belt. This is a minor 15$ two bolt fix. Unless a bolt breaks. LOL
