well, was curious what my ground clearance is now that I have MT/Rs on.
I went through the trouble of measuring it all, so now I'll just get you to read the numbers....
Stock suspension, 97, unloaded truck (no 3rd row seat, only one tool box in back).
33.0" diameter MT/Rs on at 45 psi.
Serious custom elk bar on there, weight unknown, but at least 100 lbs I'm guessing. (It lowered the front end 3/4".) (From center of front wheel to fender lip above I get 19.25" - anybody knows if that's good or sagging?)
Spare tire: 13.5" clearance (after spare lift mod - see elsewhere) in the back, 13.25" in front. So far so good. In fact, yesterday I tried a sharp departure hill about 45 degrees and the tire did not rub that I can tell (tow receiver did though).
Front diff: 10"
Rear diff: 10"
Front axle control arms: 9.25". (are they supposed to protect the diff and act as sliders?)
Not that much, really, for the ultimate wheelin' vehicle...
There you go, in case you couldn't sleep wondering about this...
