Did any of the 2010-2012 cars try using the RCA cable inputs in the rear center console while on grom vline2?
I tried and nothing gets detected when I connect multiple devices to see if it can detect and show audio/video in the rear roof mounted screen with the grom integration.
I want others to test and post here if the RCA inputs work for them with grom vline2 on a 2010-2012 lexus or lc.

Most likely you need to use the HDMI-Out function of the VLine VL2 system. Here is the explainer video:

One more how-to:

There is a newer harness which can now use the factory microphone rather than routing the grom provided microphone. Your carplay interactions and call will be much better if you use your factory microphone.
Yes, correct. There is a new harness for 2010-2012 that allows the integration of the factory mic. Here it is:
The microphone gain setting, if using the factory mic, usually needs to be set to 65. For the aftermarket microphone adjust the microphone gain setting to 45.

Hello.

Unfortunately, I was a victim of buying this product GROM VLINE LEX4, which is bad for me. I bought it from the company's official website and they gave me my car's full specifications with its VIN number so that they could send something compatible with it.

Upon arrival, the device was installed after several months because I was confident in this product according to the company's advertisements and promotions.
The surprise is that when the installation was completed and when it was turned on, it did not work on my 2007 Lexus LX470.
I contacted the company's technical support team, but unfortunately no one responded to me. Knowing that this team is the most important team for customers.
I am very upset for two reasons: first, this product received incorrect advertising, and second, the company does not care about after-sales service.
The VLite VT2 system LEX4 is the correct model for 2007 Lexus LX470:
Note that the external CD changer must be disconnected if present, as well as any aftermarket audio adapters you may have previously connected to your factory stereo.

We see that you are located outside of the USA. In such a case, the specs might be different. We always request the photo of the stereo from the international customers to verify.
We also always reply to the email requests we receive. Sometimes, our replies end up in the spam folder of the email client, so check there. If you did not receive the reply from us, send us a private message with your email and we will review the communication and provide help.

Do you know when this new cable became available? I assume the new cable ships with any new GROMs?

They should ship it free to those that bought the last version

The new cable was released in mid-December 2024, if you ordered the system after December 15th, it should come with the new cable. The fluctuations are possible until the end of December 2024, as it was the transition time. If you ordered the system after December 15th 2024 and it came with the old style cable, please contact us. We will help.

Can you send us the new one for free since most of us have been dealing with constant firmware updates/issues?

We cannot send for free, but we can offer a discount. You can contact us for more details at Support and Questions - https://gromaudio.com/support.html
In addition, you still need to periodically update the firmware on the unit and the technology evolves, and the smartphones also receive the updates that creates the necessity to update VLine software. An example would be the latest iOS18 release that broke CarPlay for many OEM and Aftermarket systems. Here are more details: iOS 18 Update affected CarPlay on VLine VL2 or VLite VT2 - GROM Audio support and community forum - https://gromaudio.com/forum/forum/main-forum/general-vline-vl2-system-support-questions/1404-ios-18-update-affected-carplay-on-vline-vl2-or-vlite-vt2

I emailed support and they cut me a better deal than the advertised price. Even refunded me since I had already ordered it. It’s already on its way.

Yes I have seen these videos. For me, the rca cables in the back center console doesn't seem to work. I want to use the roof mounted screen to show the picture and it doesn't even show RCA input as a source in my roof screen. Wondering if grom vline2 for my model year 2011 somehow disconnects the rca inputs to the audio system in the process of grom installation. the 2nd video shows this for 2013-2015 model, hence my question if this rca inputs are working on a 2011 model with grom installed.

This combination is not widely available, and some specs might be different. You can check with our technical team at Support and Questions - https://gromaudio.com/support.html, they might be able to provide some information for you.

I was never able to get the rear entertainment system in my 2011 LX570 to work at all after installing the vline2. It's my only real complaint about the unit.

I upgraded to the new MCFLEX6 cable for my 2011 LX 570 and now the factory microphone works (with noise cancellation) and RCA inputs in the back center console are also working.

Still following... If you've gotten the RCA inputs to work and still have sound from VLINE playing. (kids using RCA in the back, CarPlay audio in front), please let me know. Currently, if I turn on video in the back, the sound gets powered off up front.

No, it doesn't work like that on my 2011 LX which uses LEX6-GROM. Once I select rear video RCA input, sound from front vline center console screen stops.
You cannot have both the front play its own sound and rear RCA play its own. The rear screen shows the sound change from (USB as sound source when front screen vline is being used) to VIDEO as the source (which is the rear rca input). Currently there is a problem with vline that its only showing video input and no audio from the RCA inputs. I was told I am waiting on firmware update to channel the rca sounds correctly.
