Grill Screen

Starting to tear down the front of my 40 for a restoration. I removed the grill screen and noticed that the top of the screen had a gentle bend towards the engine bay. Should the grill screen be perfectly flat or is the screen manufactured with a bend? Being that this is my first 40, I'm really not sure.

Can someone give this greenhorn a clue.

My early '64 is bent that way, I believe that is correct.

My 64 has the bend, as does the 65 and 67...so its correct.
