Thank you guys for your concern....What started as a grocery trip with my wife ended in a 2 hour trail ride in which an hour and half we were stock in the mud in the middle of these woods without anyone to help us get out. My wife wife never expected what was going to come out of the grocery trip...I just saw an entrance to a trail and decided to pull in...off course there was no more trip to the grocery...also it killed me seeing my just painted truck so stuck in the mud

Finally, a couple minutes before dark two highschool kids who were testing out their new clutch installation on their 4runner gave us a tug out. Then we spent the rest of the time washing the truck until about 10pm.

It was quite an experience I've never been stuck I did not think that what seemed just a trail through the woods would be such hell!!...anyways the good news is that it is less than half a mile from my apartment or about half a mile from the RBC center. If anyone is interested in coming to check it out give me a call. five-three-nine-seven-two-two-five.

Anyways thank you guys for calling me back...my cellphone died in the middle of the woods as well.

Let me know if you guys want to know where this trail is it is awesome and its got some creeks and hills and offcourse MUD. I did not travel the whole thing so I am sure it is quite a ride...

Damn, Juan! Glad you made it out!! One thing I've learned over the years is that wheeling alone is always a dicey proposition (I learned the hard way too). Glad everything is OK for you and your wife.

Like I said in my voice mail, I got your message around 9 when darkness chased me inside from working in the yard.

Sounds like a cool trail though. Hope you get to go back and explore it all with at least one more rig along.
 
I know how you feel... I got high-centered the other day on some rocks and was stuck for 7 hours... not fun at all.. btw I just found a trail near airport blvd.. I know some of you live/work around here.. It's on McCrimmon parkway.. right infront of the "Town Commons" entrance. If any of you would like to check it out call me as well six-zero-one-seven-three-one-five.

I know you don't have my number but if you're stuck I'd gladly help you out if I can. I know how that feels. I'll try giving you a call this week to well before I get a benign tumor removed from my boobie(right pectoral)
 
glad you made it out Juan!! I tried to call everyone I knew and then I tried to call you back and your cell phone was dead. I was gonna come get you when I got back with one of the Rovers. Although we probably both would have ended up stuck.

We need to get a list of numbers together so that when this stuff happens, everyone has a few numbers to call. If everyone will email me their numbers, I'll put a spreadsheet together and send it out to everyone so at least everyone has some contact info. Send the numbers here chadtrs@nc.rr.com
 
Yeah that is a great idea...all I could think was to call someone here on mud but did not really know any phone numbers except Chad's and Andy's but of course Andy is in Charlotte, Chad gave me Greg's. All in all I think we all need to really get to know each other better so that we can count on one another for anything needed...I mean not anything but you know what I mean!! After going to Charlotte this weekend I really would like for the NC people kind of get closer together...the SC club is really active I am even thinking about joining them....
 
The Hubby and I had also talked about joining the SC group. They stated that they come to NC from time to time as well. As for the Phone numbers I completely agree. I will email our (Erymer and I's) numbers to you shortly. If we can help in any way, don't think twice to call. Our truck isn't sold yet and it isn't 4x4, but if we have some solid ground under it, it will pull anything... Also, we should have plates on our cruiser this week.. YEAH!!!!

Juan - You should join, UC would love to have you. The fee is negligible. It is easlily covered in the first club event you attend. Being in Raleigh, like you said, is a bit of a distance to attend all of the events, but some of the bigger ones you could pull off. UC has members north to DC and south to Miami!!

There is a large club BBQ at a members house / land on July 4th and the annual meet at Tellico in August. Both of these events will be great and present the opportunity to discuss Cruisers ad nauseam! Do like I do, belong to both ONSC and UC!! :D

Well my family is in SC, so we go there from time to time. Taking the Cruiser all the way to Charleston may be a bit much for a family visit.. :) I hate that I missed working with the cruiser "Gang" this weekend. I have spoken to a few of the SC group in the past and they seem very friendly. I was looking forward to meeting them as well.

Like I said before, Eric and I would be glad to help anyone out. Even if your not stuck some where and just want to get together for a meal or a drink.. We're up for just about anything.
 
We don't have any kids yet either. We enjoy our toys too much, and we both are "only children." We are not ready to share our toys yet. :)
 
Glad to hear you got out alright, i got you and chads messages about an hour after you called. Tryed you both back several times and got nothing so hope everything worked out.
