When doing a series of pictures like this, it is a good idea to include the LC in at least one of them as this is a "Tech Thread". Great pics by the way!

Pole Sana (sorry)... got a bit carried away... will be posting some Amazon pics soon.

285s are on ...

I need better pics though ... once I get my rims back to black :D .... and yes, the boards are now an on-going debate in the house -I may need to knock them out like the thief in the middle of the night

And this is where the new shoes took me :grinpimp:

AHC ... gone ....

Ok ... so, my supple AHC ride is none-existent  ... looks like I shall need to flush the fluid. I checked the actuators via the 7+ notch test (thank you MUD!!).. it raised it from L to H with about 12 graduations -so here's hoping that I do not need to replace the bloody expensive spheres! :bounce2:

I plan to flush it tonight ... -other than that, no other issues ...

Those black wheels look awesome. Mine are matt black as shown in the pic below... are yours gloss or matt or satin?

I assume this is the famous Man Eaters at Tsavo National Park.

AHC DONE!!!!

So, did the AHC last night -wow! what a difference -and what a simple job ... I must say though, that when I first let the bleeders loose, they shot out some gas -I guess it had some air in the system hence the bad damping. When I run the new pinkish fluid through and did the opposite side, it bled like a charm :) ...

Many thanks to the AHC gurus out here -I would never have had such confidence to tackle this -Anyway, car drives like a dream -no more jaw rattling potholes :p

Wheels are gloss :grinpimp: and yes, that is the famous Tsavo!! VXOCT 001.webp

So far:

Wheels 285/75s BFG ATs ...
Rims -back to black -gloss
front grill blacked ...
Tint
AHC -flushed and now perfect
Stereo aftermarket upgrade/woofer and Amp.
Tiny little Apple sticker on rear windscreen :D

Where are you buying all you mods and who is doing the installation?

Hey there Mamboz -mods -well, the usual suspects really, Tyres =Kingsway -that is really the only Mod so far (apart from the stereo) :D -stereo I installed myself -rims, painted myself ... tint was done by dealer I got car from ....

For bullbar, I am looking at Robs Magic -they only stock TJMs (and Kaymar for rear) though -and I didn't see any sliders -may have to get those made via Jua Kali :grinpimp:...

Do you have any options for me? I note you are this side of the globe ...

So after the rains this weekend -took a drive through the National Park ...

In Kenya w/o my cruiser :(

I'm enjoying reading about your Kenyan adventures. I'm in Karen for a year and my LC in home in CA. Thought about shipping it over but a little too expensive. I can't believe how many "built" LC there are here!! I am able to use an old Defender while I'm here, but not real confident in it's reliability. I'm going to sign up for AA and just go for it.
Cheers,
Dustin

Hey Dustin -the Defender is not that bad :D -and almost everyone will stop to assist if you breakdown :D ... PM me one of these weekends we go do some :steer: in the parks .... Cheers!

Also, AA is not all that useful when you're in the bush :p ... carry some spares and spanners and a tow rope and you should be fine ... A buddy in another vehicle beats AA anytime :D ...but hey, I had AA for the first 2 years of my Rangie -then I got up to speed with it  ...Now with the LC, no AA for me (touch wood).

Cheers and welcome to Kenya!!

Great looking 100! Please post interior pictures with the manual transmission. Those are rare for USA folks. Also, keep the wildlife pictures coming. Thanks!

Thanks, We are liking Kenya very much! I'm working on my residence papers, then the parks will be much cheaper. Thanks for the offer to go wheeling.
The Defender is very heavy duty, but the thing is a rattle trap!! I'm used to my quite 100 series ;)

The weather there looks excellent. Nice Cruiser.

Thanks! Where are the AHC controls?

Here you go ... I noticed they were different from what you guys get over there -mine are set farther back of where I have seen most of yours (plus a few of some LCs here) -I think all (most) of the MANUALS have them where mine are ...

Cheers! I even got the Owner's Manual and spare key! Plus, all service records since its registration in 2000 .... :D .. I am a very happy camper...

left handed straight shift.....thats like patting one's head while rubbing the belly! lol

what a country, awesome pics, nice cruiser.

Thanks again. I wonder if slee or profitt can change my 100 to a 5 speed manual. I am sure it would cost more than my truck is worth but would be fun.
