Just seeing the post about the Piggy restore, and the kick ace body mounts that were made; I was thinking that the greatness really showed when he was willing to share the drawings/blueprints with others. It is absolutely awesome when someone makes/designs something like this and is willing to share them....especially when talking about Pig parts.

So I think we should put up a sticky of tech/fixes/blueprints/drawings or pig specific parts.

anyother thoughts???

I think it's a great Idea!

Are there really that many parts and things people have done to warrant this? I'm all for it if there is. I'm fabbing up a tire holder in the bed of my pig right now that I will be posting up upon completion.

I'd love the bumper blueprint. That's on the to do list once my 40 is in less than 12 pieces.

A little known fact is that 1st gen. 4runners use the same body lift kit and mounts, not like many people use body lifts on their pigs anyways. The fj40 draglink is also the same as the fj55 relay rod. That is all of the useless info I know, that took a lot out of me, time for a homebrew.

Mtnpig heres those pics I promised long ago. Heres pics of the front body mount I fabbed up and the side supports which add strength support the doors some and just look stout as heck. All that area was rusted out so I had to put those in.

How do I change the file size of the pics that I want to upload? I have the plans to the body suports with dimensions and I cannot upload. Say that the files are too big.

If memory serves me yes I did but I'm not sure. I made those about 9 months ago now so you can imagine the amount of things I have done since then.

I had an idea...once.
How 'bout a dual Optima battery box, that would bolt into a Pig using the stock mounting holes, and make it outa something that doesn't rust, like stainless steel?

Nice but there really isnt much sense to dual batteries unless you have like 20 lights and a winch and then some non essential stuff like amps and subs.

Gosh, Clemson, this whole Pigthing stopped making sense a long time ago.
But, I think that a pair of big MTX amplifiers (one just for the subwoofer) are essential. Adequate tunes are an absolute necessity for a DD.
The stock alternator couldn't match the draw, so I got a hi-output unit. It came with a matching voltage regulator (that red box with the LEDs, on the firewall in the first pic). Voltage regulator had a wire for a second battery. I had to get a second battery to put that wire onto. Makes perfect sense to me. I may not have 20 lights, yet, but I like laying the foundation for future mods, establishing an infrastructure so to speak, before need arises. Now, with a sh*tload of electricity at my disposal, I can contemplate other nonessential goodies like on-board air, a fridge, a welder, fan & maybe even an electrical water pump without worrying about supply and demand.
Makes perfect sense.
Two batteries may seem like overkill to you. Overkill is my Pigs middle name.

Well rock out Pighead I am all about extra goodies, I am completely opposed to extra weight though. So goodies usually lose out. I dont even have a radio right now. Course my old engine is struggling along so I dont want to make it any harder then I have to.

Here are the drawings to the mounts that I fabbed for my PIG. Double check my dimensions just in case I goofed.
