I have no affiliation but I just bought an M8000 for $539 with free shipping and a free Warn wireless control system. I thought that was a pretty good deal. It looks like they're offering the free shipping and the free wireless controller on all the Warn winches.

Got the winch installed and decided to remote mount the solenoid. Had to make 3 new cables about 4' long. The wireless remote transmitter plugs directly into the solenoid. The wires are long enough on the transmitter to mount it under your dash but I got lazy and just mounted it under the hood using a spare bolt hole.

I'm impressed with the way it works. You just arm the wireless remote and away you go. No wires to plug in and drag through the mud.

Here's a photo of the solenoid and wireless transmitter on the 80:

That is a good looking install. I looked at the wireless remote a few years ago but at the time it was crazy $$$. I may have to take another look at them if the price has come down some. My XD9000i has internal solenoids so I would just have to run the transmitter into the cab of the 40. Can you estimate the wire length that came with the wireless transmitter and what type battery does the remote take? Give us some reviews on the wireless system such as range after you use it a couple of times. I almost forgot, is there any safeguards in the wireless system to keep from getting signals from more than one remote? That was one concern that I had with the system. There wasn't alot of info. out when I looked at them.

I think the price is something like $125 but, as I said, it came free with my winch. I could easily put the transmitter under the dash so I'm guessing that there's about 8' or so of cable.

I haven't opened the remote to look at the battery but will do so and let you know. The remote is only about 3" long. I have no idea about interference from other remotes. The claimed operating distance is 50'. I haven't tested it from further than about 15' but can do and will report back.

Can't find the deal???

I see the winch for $539, but can't find anything about the controller>
