Like the title says, finally got around to installing my lift kit and who better to share with then all you guys. Old lady didnt give a crap except that it's harder for her to get in .... but my boys love it. While dropping off my oldest at pre-school, he runs around to his friends talking about it which definitely put a smile on my face :D

Total install time was about 4 hours in my garage w/ some air tools. Not necessary, but made it "easier" and less tiring. First rodeo show in a suspension setting so it went well. No broken bolts, nuts etc .... nothing was stuck. Didn't even pre-soak anything with PB Blaster or the like.

Setup is the following:
OME J springs front and rear
Doetsch shocks , p/n#8361 Front & p/n#8350 Rear
Slee 25mm trim packers up front
Slee drop blocks for front sway bar
Slee drop brackets for rear sway bar
Man-A-Fre castor correction brackets p/n# FRAB-3
SS Extended brake lines from frame to axle ... forget who I bought em from ...

Now I just gotta grab some new tires, which I've decided on some 315 Duratrac.... just gotta wait for that much anticipated tax return like others I'm sure.

**Edit** -
P.S. Thanks to slowsuki for installing the doetsch shocks on his rig & helping me out in deciding what shocks I end up getting.

Whats on the other side of that wall cause I see nothing but sky!

A huge empty "private" field owned by Hewlett Packard ...

i just got my lift on as well and had the 315 Duratracs installed. I also put on the OME J on the front and 863's in the rear. I like the set up a lot so far as well as the tires

I'd be curious if you run in to any front driveshaft vibrations or growling at higher speeds (45-50 and above). Mine is doing it so I'll likely have to go to a double cardan driveshaft.

No wandering at all & no sounds. Drives super smooth. Handles much better; body roll in turns is about 30% of what it used to be.

Didn't change the steering stabilizer but will when I get the 315s.

I did do the SS extended brake lines frame to axle ... Bled the brakes & the fluid was super dark, kinda squeezed in a maintenance thing there w/ the bleed & fresh fluid replacement.

I likey! Would love to do the same.... For some reason, here in Idaho $$$ don't grow on the trees. I think it is the clay soil and rocks.

Nice. You'll love the 315 DT's. Only complaint so far is wishing they were bigger.:D

Well feel free to meet me halfway and I'll take your 315s while you grab some larger ones :D

nice rig! i just put the j springs in mine as well, less the shims in the front.
i'm looking to level it, mines developed the dreaded stink bug stance. hows the stance on yours on level ground with the shims?

Nice job!!! I know the feeling! my factory suspension was like that, installed in Japan almost 20 years ago! Worst is that the shocks either were factory or were replaced looong time ago. Now that I got the new suspension all I can say is: wow!

So what is your overall lift Front and Rear? 4"F 3"R ? PO installed non J's on my cruiser and with the ARB and soon to be XRC12, I have some sag and will be putting on some MT spacers to get the front back up. I want to put some Doestch Shocks on and I was just wondering how you picked your shocks, or did you put it in the web site and that is what they sent for your application.

Cruiser looks great by the way.

very shiny and new, truck looks good man.

@ jynx - Not sure honestly ... I'll take some measurements later today if I can. But it sits pretty level and I'll get it on some level ground for a pic also.

@ azrider - Thanks dude ! Believe it or not, but last time I washed it was probably a good month ago, the gloomy weather kind of hides it =)

@ Jeph - Yea, as far as I can tell, it does sit pretty level ....

clean rig man!!! reminds me of my 93....(R.I.P) let me know when you need your front end rebuilt!

I have the same lift planned, but was going to use the MAF 4" brackets. I have not ordered them yet so was curious why you went with 3". Did you do anything with the rear link arms or the front or rear panhards? Looks good by the way, but will look better with bigger meats under her.

Hope my bolts all come loose as easy as yours did. Thanks for the part #'s on the shocks as I haven't ordered those yet either only have the J springs.

Everything is stock. Only things I changed out were the shocks & springs & brake lines.

As far as deciding on the brackets, to me they seemed to be the best "fit", never gave it much thought. But everything worked out. No vibes & no wandering ...

New tires are in the works & should be here sometime within the few days... =)
