Still a lot of things to do before it is trail ready or even move out of the shop ready, but last night I fired the engine I, with my own hands, assembled.

5.7l SBC 350, stock bore and stroke. 10.17:1 compression with .015 compressed steel shim head gaskets, -6cc flat top pistons, 64cc iron Vortec heads, a "quiet" gear drive spins the Lunati 10120701 cam (advanced 4 degrees on install), Rhodes hydraulic flat tappet lifters, Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake manifold. Ignition is a 65k volt "high performance" HEI with MSD electronics inside and adjustable rev limit. Fuel is 100% propane.

This is the third start, the initial start and smoke show is also available

Come on don't be shy show us the smoke and sputtering show ;)

Congrats dude.....any idea what will be the first weakest link on it now.(besides to much skinny pedal)

This is the first time this engine ran.

Weak link will be one of the front axle shafts is my guess, . I know that I am gonna have a speeding problem already, much less wanting to throttle up something just cause I can. This is a very snappy, very solid 400 CHP. It also stayed a manual and will now have an even deeper crawl ratio at 189:1 vs the 171:1 before. Im still running the stock FJ60 radiator and haven't built a shroud to the mechanical fan on the engine, the thermostat is a 180* and it reached about 205* running it at 2-3k RPM for a half hour, so I think it will be fine there too.

Looking good Trent...
