Got a TJM T13?

Does anyone have similar pics of a TJM T3 Classique on a LC? I'm currently getting mine installed at the autobody shop while it's in for repairs and am wondering what the gaps are going to look like on my 2002.

I think my sig has a link to mine (can't tell on iPhone). It's the Ironman Deluxe Commercial. Got it from MetalTech which is just down the street so "shipping" was in the back of my truck!

No cutting required and highly adjustable. Highly recommend it. Happy to take other photos if you want to start another thread.

Somebody please refresh my memory, which of these have built in recovery points:
ARB (all models)......No
Ironman bullbar.... ?
TJM T13....?

The TJM T13 definitely does, there are two loops that are part of the big thick winch cradle down below.. you can just see one in the pic of that really awesome white 100 on Slee's site.

The rest of the TJM is mostly cosmetic, IMO. It shakes more than any ARB I've ever owned, you see it when you roll down the highway. But the winch attachment portion is very stout, you bolt that on first, then bring up the rest of the bumper to it to bolt on, the winch line just runs through the bumper but doesn't rely on it for anything. that's actually a cooler design than ARB, IMO. Can't comment on the Iron Man, haven't installed one.

As Tim said, the T13 recovery points are actually pretty substantial and part of the winch mount / bumper mount that bolts directly to the frame. I would not hesitate to use them.

As for the shaking, not sure how it compares to ARB but all the two piece bumper systems with airbag "zones' tend to shake.

Good enough for me then!

I agree that the T13 does shake a bit, and the bumper portion is more cosmetic than bulldozer. But it is lighter that way, and the winch plate/recovery portion is very stout.

There's a couple of bumper threads going right now, so rather than starting a new one, I hope the OP doesn't mind me high jacking this one.

There's a lot of discussion in this thread about comparisons between ARB, TJM, and Iron Man. I'm looking into a new bumper for primarily preventing front end damage from accidental impact with large wildlife. Anyone have an opinion on which bumper provides the greatest protection? Seems like Iron man has the largest bumper, in that it goes well above the hood. But, not sure how sturdy it is compared to ARB.

Eventually will also install a winch, but imagine I'm a few years away from that.

Thanks.

I think T13 will provide adequate protection for deer and similar animals. Cattle and moose will destroy it.

This is definitely an old thread. As Slee is currently out of stock on the Blueberry, I'm looking at a T13. Curious about its strength. Can you stand on the wings or the ends of the bar?
