Not sure who else is using these but I was looking for a rated tie down system without putting in lockers. The best net I found searching online was the Gorilla Rubicon.

I love the safety of the hundy but ensuring gear is properly secured in the back has been a concern.

Here's the cheap "solution" I was using. That net is pretty much worthless and trends to get caught on whatever is coming in or out.

Here's the Gorilla in the bag. The net is rated for 1200 lbs, has some wife friendly attaching hardware and seems very well constructed. The mesh is a very dense rip stop fabric.

The bag is really solid also. I'm keeping the other tie downs and tow strap, etc in there.

Going into the truck.

I really like it. It is slightly larger than it needs to be so I doubled over the rear eyelets. Throwing groceries in is really easy and I'm excited to have it in time for holiday travels. Added bonus is it makes it impossible to see from the outside what valuable are underneath.

Nice. Been wondering about something like this since I'm not ready to go drawers yet. Thanks for the show.

Thanks guys. I need to correct myself again. The safety web is rated at 1200lbs/in, and the mesh at 278. The actual working load of the net is rated at 1500lbs total.

Ok so 6 months in I still really like these nets. I just got two more for the other hundys in the family, and we ordered a whole bunch for a fleet of vehicle at work.

It lets me safely carry heavy things in the rear without worrying about rear facing kids in the second row. Shoot, even a bag of canned groceries could be lethal in a front collision.

The tie down cams are easy to use and it's just big enough to strap a queen sized bed to the stock roof rails.

I helped a friend move this past weekend and we put the net under his 300 lb washing machine to help get it down a really steep set of stairs.

For my purposes, this is a very versatile alternative to drawers.

In terms of a group buy, safetyweb will offer a pretty good discount on bulk orders but the cost with individual shipping is still just over $100. Pm me if interested.

I thought about getting one of these a few months ago, as it seems really versatile. If there was a way to easily anchor these right behind the second row seats, I think I would buy one. Currently, there are 2 anchors on the floor, but nothing above. The handles in the cargo area may be too far forward, but is that even a secure mounting point?

Good idea. I hadn't tried that yet.

It works pretty well on the third row handles since you can strap the cam directly to it (the net come with four sets of hardware: 4 caribiners, 4 straps, 4 hooks, and 4 ratcheting cams). I'm not sure how the handle strength compares to the factory tie down points. I would suspect it's comparable.

This leaves about a 6 inch gap at the top and sides with the third row retracted.

Your welcome. When I've got some free time I can compare the bolts for the tie down point and the handle, but I would think they're similar.

The hard core drawer set ups are often tied into the seat attachments for maximum strength.

Does anyone have an actual working load limit for the cargo d rings or overhead handles?

Spent a day at a local-ish raceway. Decided to pull the running boards off. My wife only agreed on the stipulation that sliders will replace them. :D

She looks better already!

This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks for posting, ordering now. FYI "Gorilla cargo net" was re-branded as "Gladiator cargo net"

Was wondering if anyone had any more updates to using this? Has anyone tried it with later models with airbags? Any one able to compare this with the one from Raingler.

I used it last weekend with cargo to the ceiling, serious off roading, and 4 dogs. Everyone and everything stayed put and healthy. This was my first time using the net and I couldn't be more pleased. I think it's a great budget drawer system. As of now I highly recommend it. Best 100 dollars I've spent in a while.

Now I'm using it as a dog barrier. Haven't had a chance to actually use it against the pups though so not sure how well it'll work.
