Time for a new set of shoes for the Taco. Has anyone ran Goodyear Wrangler TD's. Best deal i've found around here, out the door for $480. 75% highway driving.

VERY disappointed with the set I had, only were good for 33,000mi. I went back to BFG AT's but they cost me $620.OO. I'm running the 32x11.5 on my Tacoma, 33x9.5 on my 60. Excellent highway and
trail tire, so so on snow and ice.

Wrangler TD = junk IMHO. We have put on 20 or so. Lousy balance experience, noisy on the road, traction not acceptable compared to noise output.

If you are looking for an AT tire with good road manners and a better price than BFG, I've heard great things about the Nitto terra grapplers and Bridgestone AT Revos.

Revo qualityhas fallen off drastically. We have put on upwards of 20 sets this year and again, balance complaints, noise complaints and wear complaints. They aren't what they used to be. When they first came out I ran them often and they were good. Nittos are still good.
Woody is on Hankook's right now. We have installed 10 sets or so. They seem to be doing well also but time will tell.

No, TD is an entry level SBR (sh*tty black [almost] round) tire. No Kevlar.

I've never tried a set of TD's..heck never heard of them even.
I used to run several sets of Wrangler AT/S and GS/A.
I could get quite a few miles on gravel as well but the only challenge was a square cut lug on Goodyears seem to always cup or every second lug would wear quickly so rotating tires was a must. If you look at the GS/A tread pattern they actually went away from the original Wrangler pattern I think because of the wear problem.
I just found the bigger ones, such as LT285/75R16's or 33's were tough to balance at times..big weights and I swear you could buy them out of round.
I'd be tentative buying a cheap Goodyear.
I thought some guys here had mentioned a Cooper Discoverer ST as a decent low cost tire... link Cooper Tires. Don't Give Up A Thing. Ultra-High Performance, Passenger, Light Truck, SUV, Motorsport, Motorcycle and Commercial Tires
I tried a set of BFG AT's on a company truck and thought pretty decent on ice because the rubber is so soft but they wore fast and uneven as I drive a fair bit of gravel.
Tires are usually always a compromise,,,mileage or traction in mud or on ice. pick your poison:D

I don't want to sound like a broken record but I am on my 2nd set of Cooper Discoverer ST tires and LOVE 'em - 1st set got me about 70K miles! 5 tires rotated thru their life though.
