My buddy just got some 37" MTRs from Discount tire 2 weeks ago.

After many good years of wheeling my old MT/R's with absolutely no problems, it has reached the time that I must part with them. I have delayed this several times and researched the new tires out there several hundred times. After much toil, I decided to replace my old MT/R's with the new MT/R's. I finally made the call to my friend over at The Local Discout Tire and asked him to get them on the way and I would be by in a few days. He called me back with a confused sound in his voice and said "I can't get them." He followed that with, "we don't have any stocked locally or nationally." He said he called Goodyear and his rep there said "We don't have a production date scheduled for them in the system, but I will let you know if that changes." A month later, I haven't heard anything, which means he hasn't heard anything, which leaves me wondering if Goodyear has shelved another tire. I'm sure that if I searched, I could find a set. I'm no longer interested in that after buying a brand new set of Bridgestone's for the wife's Land Cruiser four months ago. She cut one and when I took it to replace, they were discontinued. The tire they replaced it with looks similar, but makes the vehicle pull that direction. Guess I will be going with BFG this time around since nobody else appears to want to provide long term support for tires.
You didn't mention what size you were looking for, if it is the 37-12.50r15, then yes goodyear has dropped that size. Bad idea goodyear!

Good to know. I was looking for 305/70r16, but would settle for 285/75r16. Looks like they may be coming back into stock. Wow, almost 8 months after I decided to pull the trigger on them!

Agreed on them hanging lots of guys out to dry by eliminating that 37. I'm sure Goodyear looks to the 3/4 and 1 ton truck market for their bread and butter on those 37's, and all of those trucks haven't been made with a 15 inch wheel for over 10 years now.

I have an handful of trailers that have 16 inch wheels. Tires for them up until about 6 years ago were free. So many guys would go buy brand new diesel pickups, drive them straight to the wheel shop and buy $4,000.00 in wheels and tires, that there were just tons of brand new load range e 16 inch tires on craigslist or at the tire shops. They would give them away. Now a load range e 16 inch tire costs more than a 20!
