*Edit: I meant to title it Express Tire. That is the name of the tire shop.
So I popped in the the shop to price out the Cooper STT's and Toyo Open Country. Turns out they are having a sale so you get the tires at the employee's cost. The sale ends at the end of the month and the 28th if you use the GoodYear Card for no intrest for 6mo. Just thought I would give you in the market a heads up.
So the quote they gave me for 285/75/16's
Cooper's $189 and Toyo's $220 a tire. What do you think? Oh and the Toyo's are on 3 wks back order.

OK so I went to another Express Tire shop because the first shop had to call up for prices and couldn't give me sizes just up from 285. Since the Coopres run small I was hoping to find a size between 285 and 315.
So at the other Express Tire I found brochures for both tires with all the sizes. But this shop didn't have the same sale going on so as far as I know the Miramar Rd. San Diego Express Tire is the only one with the sale going on till' the end of the month. I guess these shops are individually owned?
So another interesting fact I found was that after searching in the puter the tire guy found a 305/75/16 in the Coopers that is not shown on the brochure. He said they must be new? Someone may already have shared this info but I am sooo deep in the tire search that I forget what I hear and read from one day to the other.

IIRC I paid about $175-185 per tire for Bridgestone Revo's in the 285's at Tucker Tire in Laguna Niguel. When I'd sliced a sidewall on one, he replaced the tire at his 'cost' and that was just under $170.
