Thats disappointing, l had the same issue when my front 40 series guards came to my local Toyota. They had some damage and they came not supported or packed to avoid damage from transport or rough couriers. My local parts guy Mike is a great guy and gave me a good discount but l had to do some minor work to straighten them, Still disappointing to get new parts show up damaged.
Mike is retired now so we will see how the new guy goes, good parts people are hard to find.

Where can I get in on the scratch and dent sale on 80 steel wheel sets?

Also look for the FJ Cruiser stock black steelies on eBay or wherever. I don’t have a part number handy but they’re usually under $100/ea

Interesting - those wheels are very hard to get here used so couldn't imagine the trouble involved to get a new set of 5.

Just tried the part numbers in Amayama - 42601-60362 doesn't exist according to their system but 42601-60361 comes back saying a price of A$225 each but there is an OEM replacement claimed to be 42601-60360-03 quoting the same price. Shipping is quoting at A$390 for -60361 and A$235 for the 60360-03 for a single of each.

Bumping the quantity up to 5 quotes shipping of nearly A$1700 for the 60361's and nearly A$1600 for the 60360-03's. That makes a cost of nearly A$1125 for the wheels plus freight - egad about A$4000!

I've got ROH Australian-made Trak-2 steel wheels on the 80 currently but recently got a set of 5 INF brand 16 x 8's with no tyres that are of similar quality. The toyota factory ones would be better quality I'm presuming.

I have had a few sets of ROH steel wheels and Toyota factory steel wheels are better quality. Quite often the ROH wheels are out of balance from new and tyre shops here check them before fitting tyres.
I’m going the factory 16x8 steel 80 series rims on my 80 chassis build ($150 ea from Toyota) and just picked up some 16x6 wagon style wheels for my 40 series, 2nd hand. New price $361ea
These are the 16x6 wheels

16 x 8 toyota factory 6-stud steelies would be great - I've not had a problem with my set of ROH's but they're made in Oz and I got them new with the then new tyres in 2015.

Yeah I tried that. My dealer got their money back entirely and were already giving me a pretty hefty discount. Sounds like there was no room for a “damaged” price.

I have a crappy paint job by the PO on my aluminum wheels now and no extra wheels to throw on if I were to try to strip them / repaint. I’ve had other things go wrong with my 80 but hope to get back to it.
