Wanted Good solid tub '79-'83 FJ40. Only need tub will buy complete

I need a good solid tub of a whole truck if I have to for a '79-'84 FJ40. It doesn't have to have any mechanicals or drivetrain or it can. Anyone have one for a decent price. Cash in hand! Will have a shipper pick it up if it is too far from Sheridan, WY. Please send pics and price if you have a good one.

That's not going to be an easy find. If you do happen to find a rust free one be prepared to spend as much as you would for a complete 40 with rust.

Did you ever look into getting your tub repaired? All the sheet metal for these are available online.

I was in a similar situation. 79+ body panels are hard to find. 78 and older relatively easy to find in comparison. I was patient and sweet talked the lady at Pacol (can't remember her name, sorry sweetheart) and was VERY patient to get my front half floor pan. Took several months and phone calls to receive but everything was recieved. It is not the best panel but it is great start considering I had no other option other than to wait forever hoping someone was miraculously parting out a non rusted 79+ 40 floor.

By '"not the best" I mean some of the metal was stretched so thin as they worked curves that you have tiny pin holes.
