Hey guys and gals, I'm hoping someone may have a good rebuild or low mileage 1FZ laying around sometime soon. My '94 with 208K is making a lovely lower end knock that comes on nice and noticeablely every time I get on the gas or torque load increases.

As much as I'd like to pull the engine and rebuild it right, time is my enemy (family of 4, apartment life, etc). What I'm looking for is a great running engine to swap out with minimal downtime. I work at a large auto repair shop so I can utilize my facility but not for a 2-3 week rebuild mess (which with my schedule is how long it would take).

I'm also looking at used and/or reman engines from two companies: Anyone have experience with either of these two companies?

Thanks for any advice or possible engines you could line me up with, I appreciate it!

I have a nice running 94 vehicle in northeast ga, 134k miles. If I don't sell it whole soon I'll be parting it out. You could drop yours and install this in a day or two...where are you?

That mileage sounds right about where I'd like to be, if like between 100K & 150K miles on my donor engine if possible.

I'm near Fort Collins, CO which is about 1,500 miles away. Shipping could be a killer, but freight isn't too bad if it's strapped to a wooden pallet.

Oil pressure is good on your motor, no signs of HG problems or overheating? If so, and it doesn't sell in one piece, think of a price and shoot me a reply or PM. I'm sure shipping could be overcome.

engine is strong and no issues. I can send video. it starts and sounds better than my daily driver (with a rebuilt head and new head gasket. 213k) there are new hoses and I think new water pump and some new sensors...intake hose is shot. I would prefer to sell with transmission and transfer case attached, unless my current one with at speed bucking and hesitation turns out to be transmission related...let me know how much of this you want. I will figure out a price and message you in a few days if the guy coming tomorrow does not drop some benjies... asking 2500 for whole vehicle with bad passenger side knuckle..

Nice, my cruiser drives great other than the engine. I would rather just do the engine, but if you want to sell the whole drivetrain then we could probably work out a deal. Keep me updated on whether the dude coming by drops cash on it.

Random rabbit trail, what color is your cruiser? Mine is the '94 dark Forest Green. I need a good too but pretty sure that would be brutal to ship.

That one is red/maroon.

Baaahhh... wrong color; okay, then I can not worry about it and how to ship a hood. Mine is really faded and the clear coat is peeling, don't want to repaint but the rest of the cruiser is great. Just hood and front of roof. Anyway, let me know what happens with your potential buyer. Thanks for the fast responses!

I think we talked before and i tried to e-mail you a video but I still have one in Grand Junction

Thanks for the reminder, Noah! I finally watched your video, it finally loaded after I tried a couple times. I'm hoping to find a lower mileage motor if I can since I'll be doing the swap myself and hope to get a good 5yrs before it needs any help. And definitely update you if I can't find one sometime soon.

Probable deal in the works for an engine, thanks to everyone for the replies and PMs... Will post when no longer looking!
