Good Indy in North Dallas ???

Anyone know a good independent in North Dallas?

I'm moving there in the next couple of months and won't have time to do much wrenching for a while, so I figure I need a good "go to" guy.

Any ideas?

I'll be living about Frankford and the Tollway.

It depends on what you need done. I live in this area and try to do everything myself. If it's stuff like brakes, you might see if some of us in the area might be able to help you do this. Sometimes I read about a birfield party or guys getting together to do some maintenance. There are some shops in the area but it just depends on what you want done as to whether I would let them wrench on my rig or send it to Toyota of Dallas. You should come to the Lone Star LC meeting sometime and ask there, or check with the Toyota Trail Riders which is lead by Chris King: head of parts dept. of Toy of Dallas.

Thanks for the note. I am just looking for a good, all around shop that can be trusted to do Cruiser work.

I also do most of my own work, but with the second kid added to the family and a new job, I'll have very little time to wrench much.

I have recently rebuilt the front axle, new brakes, calipers, etc. rear axle recently rebuilt, new p/s pump, new bluetop optima, new waterpump and all new hoses, heater hoses, all new intake gaskets and ultrasonically cleaned injectors, new EGR system a couple of years ago......etc. etc. etc.

The truck is in very good mechanical shape, it's just a matter of, if something grenades on me, who do we trust ? And, no, I don't like dealerships at all !!!
