Just got off the phone with a local tire shop and got a quote on more aggresive A/T tires -much better than the stock Bridgestone Duellers. If anyone is interested here is the quote - Bring the FJ in immediately (no more than 100km on them) - otherwise they won't give you new tire credit!. I want the Yokohama Geolanders which are $194.00 per tire x 5 tires = $970.00 - with original stock tires on trade - total price to upgrade is $659.00 for the 5 tire set.
this was at Kal Tire here in Calgary.I've had the Yoko's before and was very happy with there performance. Here is a photochop of what they might look like on the FJ- Tim

Curious? Are you changing tire size or leaving it the same as factory?

I wonder if you could get more for your stock tires by selling them to another mudder?

I mean if you were in my area....I would think buying "new" Duellers at $60-80/tire would be a pretty good deal.

Interesting - I'm also dealing with Kal Tire; $100 credit per tire to replace the stock tires with the Revos (decided not to go with the BFG ATs). Difference in price (installed) is then $1170.

I wouldn't take that deal. Try selling them as a pkg. and you could probably get $100 per tire instead of the $62.20 you are currently being offered.

Hey Victor - very good point! maybe I might try and sell the stock tires privately or maybe even keep them on the factory mags and get a whole other set of Yokos and wheels. Winters here in Canada can at times be pretty rough, so would be nice to have a set for both winter & summer.

and its a great opportunity to jump to the 32x11.5 tire..its really not much bigger then a 31 and the width will be a huge improvement ....

im running them on my truck and LOVE them...simply awesome in the snow too.

Colin

come on, you know you want to put some 33's on it!

that right up in toyota magazine said that 33's might not fit in the wheel wells.... but the truck that they took on the rubicon had 32's

33 MT's. Be the first. You'll be world famous. You can say, "I ran 33's before anyone."

DO IT!
DO IT!
