The piece of plastic trim that is directly below the glove box door has a rattle that is driving me bananas and looking for some help. There's a couple similar threads but there wasn't any solution so looking to see if anyone has had this recently.

It's not a "rattle" per se, but the sound plastic on plastic makes, usually when it's slightly loose in those cheap fasteners. I have tried the following:

-Remove everything from the glovebox
-Remove the tray in the glovebox
-Remove the piece that is on the top of the passenger side footwell and below the rattling trim in question

The latter of these had the most effect, and overall any of these lessened the noise but it usually came back full strength within a few days. Plus, the glovebox is meant to be used to hold various items, not the front seat.

I have stock suspension, but I have stock BFG KO2s. I know they ride slightly rougher than OEM so I know I'm going to get a little more noise/rattle in places, but this rattle/creak/whatever is, as I said, bananas.

Any ideas?

It could be a broken clip in the trim that's still connected, but just hanging, so to speak, rattling when moving.

Do you have something in the dash? I pulled a bunch of .223 shell casings that went down the window defrost vents. I know you said it’s by the glove box but sounds can be tricky and there’s a lot of duct work back there, maybe something is in the HVAC system? Just a hypothesis...

No broken clips, no lose ammo. It sounds like plastic flexing is the more apt description. Like a creak rather than a rattle. I'm going to try taking it apart today and put it back together and see if that improves anything.
