My 1985 HJ75 pickup imported from Australia . There is still work to be done including mounting additional lights in the brush bar as well as re-installing the rear canopy. Located in the Southern U.S.

Wow! Very very neat.
What kind of work do you want to do further?

Thanks.......Just a few minor items. The ARB brush bar has cutouts for amber turn signals and I want to install rectangle fog lights there instead. The HJ75 came with a full frame and canopy for the rear however I don't like it because it greatly reduces visibility ( RHD vehicle in a LHD country ).
I plan on modifying it so I end up with basically a canvas roof on the rear. Other than that the Cruiser is ready to go and is relatively low mileage especially for a Australian Ute.

Australia ute seldom come with bed tub. Usually with tray sidedrop.
Your fortunate enough to have a bed.

The original bed and relatively low mileage were among the reasons I purchased the HJ75.

70 Series was marketed throughout the world, except for the USA.

Not exactly the case.:hmm:
Most of the countries in world was not marketed for 70 series not USA only.
Singapore, Thailand etc...... so on. Why? I have no ideas, have to ask Toyota. The major market left are Australia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, UAE and some countries.
70 series cruiser, I would say it an extraordinary cruiser in the series. Unlike other series, 120,150,200. Cash just buy them up at anytime.
Toyota just doesn't care if you are millionaire or whatever.

Hello I'm now a new owner of a bj 70 , not that I need one ! but it never seems only one cruiser is enough ! lol
It's a hard top that doesn't come off ( oh well ! ) I'm wondering about the prone inherant rust areas are and what to do about it ? So far fenders rear 1/4 's inside fender wells all rusted but manageable if I get to it before winter.
Any advice ?
