it would be nice to see if you had the money to go to aus in the intentions of traveling and building up a ute but being able to leave your current rig in the us. It would save you money, even though aus is extremely over priced for their cruisers.

I plan to leave the 74 here yes, it's my only vehicle for past year or so now. Money not the issue, it's the timing and planning along with other commitments, college, and interest that take me to C. America, are priorities for now. I look there too, and I always see nice trucks for sale in Guatemala. Can buy new too down that way as well; 12v., Lhd, 1HZ motors.
Figure in a couple years things will be sorted out a bit in the world economy, and I will go and get one.
Really enjoy the 70 series truck, gonna be picky adding again to the stable.

Nice Cruiser Oldcars, I had a similar Cruiser (first Cruiser ever), but a 1987 model. Isn't that the SX5, can remember that a 70 ever recieved a VX badge ? That coil sprung suspension made it unstoppable, would love one again !

HI, Bennie! Thanx for the kind words. The coil suspension works great, but I'd love a bigger engine (3.0td intercooled, maybe?). A friend of mine has one with the 2LT modified (a bigger Garret turbo). The car is great.

Oh...on my backdoor is written "VX turbo".

Look at the picture. And in the papers is the same.

just cleaned

Engine work was a valve adjustment, fuel injectors cleaned and the diesel pump calibrated and engine vacuum system check for leaks, all the filters replaced. Ran quite good but he advised against shimming the wastegate for additional boost. He said with limited availability of parts I should not muck with the engine too much. It gets some serious trails, I just have a guy who cleans it well. being in hot humid country you dont want mud to stay too long it causes serious rust.

Well that is news to me, congrats, you must have a very special 70 there, what seems to be extra in your's that the SX or LX don't have ? Maybe post your VIN plate numbers here so we can drool over all the info !

@benniebez - I'll post the VIN tomorrow. As I said, the Toy is now at the garage and the work on it was started. I'll keep you informed and I'll post some pictures in a new topic.
It's news to me, too - I didn't give more importance to that "VX".

I thought zx was top of the 7x series range and vx was top line to 60,80,100,200 series?
