Decided to jump back into this build thread because I have started spending more money on this truck recently ( thanks a lot @cruiseroutfit ).

Last week I pulled the driver door apart and replaced the window run, and lived the motor regulator assembly with EP grease. Also followed the fsm procedure to reprogram the motor limits, because it rolled back down on auto while my wife was trying to go through the carwash lol. Oem window run was an easy install. We had been having a random misfire when cold, but it never would throw a code . So I decided to pull plugs and such for a tune up. Several plug tubes were completely full of oil lol. The seals on the valve covers were so bad they had actually fallen into pieces. Pulled the valves covers and replaced both gaskets and tube grommets, new NGK plugs gapped per fsm and I have ordered new denso coil packs . Ouch. Also called Kurt’s team over at cruiser outfitters and ordered a timing kit. If you are a first timer (like me) order a thermostat and both the tstat o ring, AND the little square gasket that goes behind the water housing . These items do not come with the water pump kit, for some silly reason. Unfortunately my aisin water pump showed up destroyed in the box, cruiseroutfitters so supposed to send me a replacement . I also found some cracks in the intake tube that is likely where some of my “misfire” is coming from. Ordered a new oem tube, they’re a whopping 600 bucks but still available. Here’s some pics.

I went a different way with my desired build and decided to ditch the Aussie bars, sold to a fellow mudder in Mississippi. I’ll be going with some sliders, idk which ones yet, and a base rack for a small RTT. I installed a safari Armax snorkel this weekend. Install is a little tedious but not hard. I opted to mold it around the power antenna with a copper pipe and a heat gun. The directions to adapt to our airbox is a little vague but basically you have to bolt it in, install the arb airbox boot then cut it long enough to slip over our airbox intake tube using the silicone adaptor from cruiseroutfitters.

Today I picked up some goodies. Will be doing on board air. I will order the slee bracket. I am prepping for air lockers in the not so distant future, as well as a regear

I see you are doing a nice job. You are showing up some of the Lexus only features like added door card sound insulation, the door speaker enclosures and there is an additional seal under the door card that mates up with the door opening.

Goodies from partsouq showed up. A few hoses and connectors, new PCV and grommet. I was also missing the screwdriver from the oem toolkit so I got a replacement. Shop is pretty full right now.
