LOOKING GOOD!

It drives great. I need to get "recalibrated" on the steering, I was backing out of the garage, and expected to need to crank the wheel. It went so easy I ran over some of my tools.

I hope to get up on top of mount lemmon on Saturday for the shakedown cruise in some snow.

You may need a support truck for that saturday run. :bounce:

Call me when your 80 snaps another vital part in half :D
Then again there is always my old CJ5 on the mountain.

Looks good! Nothing like a new 2F in a older FJ40, and the power steering is great, I agree. Any issues with the install? Are you running a 4-speed?

Only problem I had on the install was dull Harbor Freight taps (resulting in 2 broken tap handles). It pays to go with good steel on your taps, and a problem fitting the Intermediate shaft to the FJ-55 steering column.

Other than that - it was just labor, with no technical challenges. My buddy is the master of "fab", so I brought the beer, and he did the skilled work.

My truck is a '74, so it came with the F-1.5 motor, and the 4 Speed stock.

My parts are in good shape for a while. Sorry to hear about Alvin's Panhard rod. I heard these type fractures can be painful.
