ALL GONE!!! Getting a Pakistan Soft Top? You're gonna need these
STOP! We went through 200 sets!
I have a pile of the nickle plated gromets. The fronts and the backs. You could buy the tool to knock the holes in the fabric (about $60.00) but an exacto knife/razor blade works just fine. These have not rusted, chipped, flaked in the 3 years I've had them installed. Eshan does not ship the tops with the gromets installed. I think that this is a smart thing on his part becasue of all of the differnet configurations that you can do with the 40 soft top.
$.50 for each set (front and back). Free shipping. Just tell me how many sets you need.
You will also need the turnbuckles (OEM fastener in the pic). Order these from your toyota dealer or favorite vendor.
NOTE: The quanity needed will depend on your year cruiser!!!! My 68 FJ40 had holes pre-drilled and I think there were 9 per side for a total of 18. Later year crusiers required less.
There is a good thread here that mentions this as well as footman loops (68's did not have any on the tub) https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/62741-pakistan-soft-top-install-dos-do-nots.html
Lastly... I came across these in the garage and was about to chuck them. I figured a half dollar each set is fair and will you save some time. this is offered as a public service
Thanks -Will
