ALL GONE!!! Getting a Pakistan Soft Top? You're gonna need these

STOP! We went through 200 sets!

I have a pile of the nickle plated gromets. The fronts and the backs. You could buy the tool to knock the holes in the fabric (about $60.00) but an exacto knife/razor blade works just fine. These have not rusted, chipped, flaked in the 3 years I've had them installed. Eshan does not ship the tops with the gromets installed. I think that this is a smart thing on his part becasue of all of the differnet configurations that you can do with the 40 soft top.

$.50 for each set (front and back). Free shipping. Just tell me how many sets you need.

You will also need the turnbuckles (OEM fastener in the pic). Order these from your toyota dealer or favorite vendor.

NOTE: The quanity needed will depend on your year cruiser!!!! My 68 FJ40 had holes pre-drilled and I think there were 9 per side for a total of 18. Later year crusiers required less.

There is a good thread here that mentions this as well as footman loops (68's did not have any on the tub) https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/62741-pakistan-soft-top-install-dos-do-nots.html

Lastly... I came across these in the garage and was about to chuck them. I figured a half dollar each set is fair and will you save some time. this is offered as a public service :rolleyes:Thanks -Will

I will take 10 sets. 5 per side is usually good right. This is a good deal - I paid more for the same from a local marine store a few years back, but they also loaned me the tool which was kool. Lemme know where to pay. Thanks. Bill.

How many more do you have? I'll take twenty, if you have them.

Still have any? 14-18 sets will do to have a few extras.

Drop a line to let me know if you have any left.

Thanks

If you still have any I would like 12 sets. Please let me know and I will paypal you ASAP.

Chris

All,

Just send the cash via PayPal. Make sure your address is correct. I have a pile of them and when I run low, I'll post up here.

IF I RUN OUT... and you paid me, I'll just return your funds via paypal. I don't anticipate this happening because I'll post up here first.

I have plenty! Send me your money.

First Come First Served!

edit: for those who already departed with their hard earned cash, the sets will go out today!

I just sent you $44 for 40 sets. I added the 10% to cover the Paypal fee, etc.

STOP!

The gromets are all gone! Thanks!!

Well I blew throw almost 200 sets. While the gromets may be available at the box stores or your hardware store, the gromets I got are nickle plated and stand up very well.

Damn buddy, I was going to get a few from you too.

Anyone considering buying another bulk of them? If someones not I will and resell them. I need a couple dozen for rigs I'm working on. Post up if you still need some

I'll probably get some from you Kurt, I'm in on this next top order, so when it gets close, we'll figure how many I will need. You should scronge up the factory turn buttons too, sell them as a set.

Kurt, I need like 20 of these. Did you order some? Thanks.

Not yet, I'll do so this coming week :D

I have plenty of them in stock, they are available at any dealer, but I'd be willing to sell them as a kit if folks need them. :D

Hey Kurt,
FWIW, I've had a terrible time finding twist locks similar to OEM at a reasonable price. If you have a source and decide to sell sets of twist locks and grommet, I'll probably buy 20 or so.
I'll keep subscribed to this thread or you can PM me. TIA
Happy Trails! N
