"A bullbar in the bush is worth more than a pedestrian in the city"

Very true! I'm very indecisive, and have gone back and forth on the matter. I feel the look would be diminished if I took the bull bar off and had the snorkel and pre-cleaner still there. Like a half-assed attempt at being a badass.

Meh. Your problem is that your bumper simply isn't big enough.

My personal favorite setup is the old Confer guard with a nice bumper (like Hawkdriver's)

I have that exact pumper on my troopie, except for the fender wrap around..To be honest I don't like it,but mine has nice jerry can holders attached. It is a lot of weight and I would much rather have the ARB bumper with winch mount.

Thanks man!

Funny story about that bumper. I was finishing my truck while then working at Cruiser Outfitters (circa 2001). I had a simple 'shorty' bumper on my old FJ40 and planned to duplicate it on this Cruiser. CrOut PO Darrell Noorda refused to let me leave without some protection and protection I got... by the end of the night we had fabbed up the bumper as shown. Fast forward 10 years and I've loved it, I pushed a couple ton rock off of a cliff on a Wasatch Cruiser service project/trail cleanup and have moved more trees than I can think of :D

I made mine several years ago now and my tastes have changed...

This is what I made...

But I'm liking this look now. I'd rather have the brush guard attached to the frame than the front clip though.

I may cut off the upper tube works and fab a brush guard off my bumper braces. Maybe a small hoop to protect the winch. We'll see what happens when I get that far.

turns out a friend manufactures J##P accessories - particularly bumpers.

Gave him a ring a few weeks ago and got hooked up with a front bumper and a rear bumper with tire swing-out.

Pulled the old roo-bar off and the stock bumper mounts, cut up some 4" square tubing to make new mounts and BOOM new bumper.

Not sure how I feel about having j##p parts on my cruiser but the price was right. I like having a bumper back on but again not too sure of the look.

Rear swing out is going to take some more work to get on, it is a full width swing out and I would like to access one ambulance door without having to swing the tire away. So arm has to be switched from right swing to left and blah blah fabricate fabricate etc etc.
