Georgine came into our lives two years ago as a blessed replacement for a overly high maintained 2003 Volvo V70. I mean, does everything need to be replaced on time for a Volvo, those engineers are the absolute best at engineered obsolescence and wear on normally long term parts and electronics. First owner passed this rig through the family so I am either the second title holder or sixth driver (take your pick). Absolutely glowing maintenance file and dealership attention throughout this rigs life. Then comes me. The loving bride called dibs so I am left to being the maintenance department. What she may or may not be aware of (third cruiser but surely not my last) is the truck will one day be relegated to me so goodies will slowly show up. I guess the only dumb decision she has ever made was saying "yes" to my proposal many moons ago.

I've had my 100 for a little over 2 years. I need to be like you and start a thread for it one day. Luckily my wife doesn't like slow cars so I doubt it'll ever "her" car. I have a tool cart slowly getting loaded with goodies. After getting it baselined i've been really lazy about getting the goodies installed.

Slumber Jack awning. Cheap insurance for shade and moisture management.

Brake booster replacement. Electric motor completely FUBAR by corrosion and funk. Easy job, not cheap.

PCV valve and hoses replaced. One of the igniters went tits up. removed, cleaned, and resealed the oil filler tube, replaced oil filler cap. Ordered two igniters and then remembered I stored one in the truck. Now I have two trail spares. More jobs.

Old meats, new meats. Went from Michelin street tires on the 1999 16" stock rims to 2004 18" stock rims with 255/70/18 Firestone Destination A/T. Have the same brand on all the cruisers. Good combination of road noise and traction on the East Coast.

Expo East in Ashville, NC as a passenger with @1428Mike . All the "Overlanders" in their built rigs and land roamers b1tch3d about the mud, rain, and cold. Pull up your britches, that's what it's all about.

Expo continued. Cool experience but I would rather be on a trail somewhere. What is GSMTR?

Hunt Camp. First time I had to use chains. Rained for days before we got there. Then the snow, then the sod let go. Can't do anything when the sod lets go except chain up. Slow and steady is the mantra.

No cell service, no interruptions, no electronics, no cares. Miss the camp the moment I get there and until the next time I get back.

Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride was an incredible experience. Many many days of camping and 8-10 hours driving days led by an extremely capable Jamie Murphy. Great guide, public servant, and dude! No pics of him to protect the innocent.

Long days and long nights testing the limits of your vehicle, dog, and your person. Lots of new smells here. The water smelled brackish, the tunnels odd, and the dog of death. Rufus found a pile of decayed wild animal and immersed himself in the pungent aroma. Personally I was really glad that I was riding b1tch with @1428Mike that afternoon. Libations warranted a nap under this table one morning.
