Ok so I had this carb rebuilt by Jim last year. Sat on my self for a year, threw it in my 60 and drove to Colorado and back to Virginia with it and now am changing to EFI.
The carb has about 3000 miles on it (give or take) and ran like a champ. It was tuned for daily driving in the Virginia area with some high altitude (not sure what magic he did).
Also included (as it would not be complete without it. Is a carb insulator for a 2f, (fj60). I cannot use it with my setup so it can go with this carb. The insulator was purchsed new and installed with I installed the carb, it is matched perfectly to it.

it is great overall condition, pictures of the carb (it is a 2f carb so the picture will show a 2f carb LOL) will be tonight.

Asking $230 shipped anywhere in the continental USA. hell of a deal for someone as the insulator is over $100 alone.

Leesburg Virginia. No idea. It did fine but in CO. I Was slow up the steep hills, but then I was on 3.70, 32" and LOADED down.

If you are higher altitude constantly then you may need to rejet, For my once a year trip it was perfect.

That said, it cruised the highway fine, never failed me and always started. It is a great carb.

PM sent, will take it

Thought I was next in line?

Thought I was next in line?

I ended up buying it. I Just wanted to clarify this as seller did the right thing, after sending him a PM in the morning he told me I was first in line and another one after me at that time, decided to jump on it after seeing the pics .

Ok, win some and lose some....

swamp-thing was actually first but I had a feeling.
The next person in line is not who dropped a message here on this thread but who PM’ed me. Had the message been dropped here first that would have changed things.
That was dr_dodro by something like 30 or 40 minutes.
Not that I need to explain it though.

All good man, free world and you can sell to who ever you want. Will probably move on to Fuel Injection now anyway so you probably did me a favor.

It is what all the cool people are doing these days with the Holley Snipers.

I am not that cool so I am installing a 4barrel FITech to my 2F.

Let me know how the FITech works out for you. Had that on the list as an option too!

Will do. They get a bad rep. Mainly due to poor support when they first opened. They have answers all my questions to date. Plus there is a good following in the muscle car are weekend racer.
Guy have put them on VW engines.

I found one thread that with the exception of the computer listed every part you would need to replace if it ever failed and where to buy it, including injectors.

That is what sold me.

What is the cost of your fitech, and where did you get it from?
Cost was cheap as I picked it up from another forum. It was used to test an engine (it looked brand new plus came with new hose and filters). They also took a gen 1 command center and modified with return (similar to the RobbMC powersurge). So fuel is constantly flowing through the little metal bomb.
This site (it is funny to read) explains it better

The whole kit with the exception of the CC will go on a v8 swap at some point.
