I have my front axle pulled apart now.. Do I need to rebuild the 3rd member if it looks to be in good shape? can I just clean it and oil it or should I pull it apart..;p

Never mind... saw that there is a post right beneath me with the same question....
Most fronts see so little use that they can/will last the lifetime of the Cruiser if there has been plenty of oil and no long standing water.
Lots of folks will swap the rear to the front and then vice-versa to extend the life.

really!.... You can just swap the rear end to the front end? I may look at doing that?

Yes simple swap. Pull axle shafts remove 3rd and switch
