Passing this along from over at Pirate. Good deal on the original design.

GearWrench ratchets

That's a hell of a good deal, especially if you can find the set in your local store.

Thanks for the link, I already had the metric set..and have been meaning to buy the SAE. Just ordered mine.

Pretty good deal. The shipping was less than it would have cost me to go and get it at the store.

Looks like the metric set is sold out.

Mine are supposed to be delivered tomorrow!

Yeah!!!!!!!

These gear wrenches are perfectly flat. I don't care for them since you'll end up with bloody knuckles.

My experience w/ these Gearwrenches has been satifsactory at best. Okay for low torque or quick ratcheting situations & that's it. I have the full metric & standard set. After a few of the selector switches on the wrenches either got stuck in the middle or just stopped functioning, I no longer think these are a *decent choice for a tool

Hamma, the wrenches in this particular sale are of the non-reversible variety, hence they have no switch. Stronger, by design. One caveat not shared by the reversibles is that it's possible to get the wrench locked on the fastener, due to their one-way action.

Well..........bummer.

Thought I was getting a good deal. Should have looked more closely at the ad.

You can't tell from the pic. in the ad that these are NOT angled. They are flat as a window pane...and of course don't have a directional pawl. You have to remove and reverse the tool when changing directions.

These will get "big time stuck" on nut or bolt if you're not careful. Not to mention they are knuckle busters in any tight area.

They did polish the fool out them though. I guess if I get something in my eye...................ah never mind.

I picked up a set of these a month ago, I think they're ok, definitely no replacemnet for a regular set of box wrenches. One problem is the heads are really chunky on the smaller sizes, you really need a lot of clearance around the bolt heads for the ratcheting mechanism. I debated between getting the flat or adjustable ones, I ended up the flat ones because the pivot felt a little flimsy, I'm pretty sure it'll break under heavy wrenching
