Gearmaster Overdrives (1 Viewer)

Has anyone had any experience with the Gearnaster Overdrives from Mark's 4WD (http://www.marks4wd.com/lc-gearmaster-overdrive.html) ?

Not the Overdrive, but I have the Gearmaster 3:1 gears in my transfer. It howls about as loud as the old SM420. The Overdrive seems to rule out the Cruiser Crawler transmission option since they both take the same spot on the transfer.

Did you get the under/under set?  I've a 1:08-3:05 set just installed in a rebuilt H55F.  Not much whine to speak of, though it's still sitting on the bench .  Did you just grind out the case a bit and run them, or did you billet the case at all?

Hey Greg!

Yes, I run the 1.08/3.08 set. You have to grind the case a bit to clear the output gear. &nbspid you recall my post to the DTLC? That hole in the TC has more to do with fitting the wrong '85 parts to an '81 case!

If I were to do it over, I might spray the case with LineX on the outside to quiet it down
