Does anybody know how to remove an aftermarket overdrive unit from the transfer case?

Try searching fairey or fairey overdrive. I'm guessing that's what you have.

Ranger was one to IIRC

If your Land Cruiser was made before 8/80 and looks like this it's a Fairly overdrive.

Little tricky to remove if you are not familiar with them. Been a number of years since I pulled one these off. Have questions could probably answer them.
