Interesting. Looks like manual will have lower gearing. Though gearing really doesn't mean much with an auto.

crawl ratios

Crawl ratios: 33.76:1. (5AT) 41.84:1 (6MT)
 
You forgot the torque multiplyier of the torque converter. i have no idea of its factor, but with alot of the toyota torque converters it usually around 1.8 or so to one. So that taken in to consideration it would be around 60.49 to one. no burned clutches. it also has a better overdrive for better consumption of fuel at same speeds. Auto rule for wheeling tight suff, but is hard on brakes on the down hill. manuals are really good for expedition stuff. For me, now if the t-case was lower, or a 3 speed t-case(not old stuff, like the one in the recent rag article of a true 3 speed t-case). then I would consider a manual for crawling. later robbie
 
I want full time 4 wheel drive and a CDL. I guess I have to get a manual.
