Wayne has always been hard on anyone, but i'm more anxious to meet him, i love having discussions with grumpy old mans, full of good advise and even if he probably won't like my accent.

I'm very happy with my snorkel, and i need to say that even if i waited a other week for it, i'm sure it was justified, Zekester told me that someone had mest up the the pipe after it was blasted and took the necessary time to do it over again.

I have no complaint, note to everyone it is not something i'd expect him to have stock.

Now to get things back on track, I have recieved a few IMs about the last run of snorkles, I will wait one more week, then finalize my order from my supplier, I will then contact all interested with pricing info.

Thank you all for your patience, and again, thanks to the many mud members that were satisfied with the snorkles I have sent out.

Again to make things clear, I am making these out of a friend's shop, I am at the mercy of both my supplier (a U.S. supplier, so I do have border/customs issues) for reciept of blanks, and the availability of the shop. We do some work outside, so I am at the mercy of the weather as well. I work 12 hours shifts, so I am doing these on my days off.

I have other commitments in my life as does anyone, I will endevour to get them out as soon as I can. If for any reason you need it ASAP, I will see what I can do, but it is much easier for me to do them in runs of 20 or 30, than one at a time.

well, after a bit of miscommunication Mike made a drive up to my place today and we spent 2 hours working out fitting a snorkel. in the end i bought the basic kit from Mike as i like the bends he has and the size is perfect for my application. i will do the fitting, welding and powder coating myself as this is a one off setup.

in the end i am a satisfied customer and am happy with the quality of product Mike is selling.

okay, finally completed and installed.
i used the factory head since i like the different look
i powdercoated this one for the customer
installed onto a HZJ40.
it took a bit of mods to make it work but in the end it looks acceptable.

It's with a heavy heart I'm posting this. I should have made this decision long ago. I'm afraid i'm pulling the plug on the construction of snorkels for the time being. I have tried to contact the guys on order individually, forgive me if I missed you, some had full mailboxs, and I couldn't get thru.

I'm doing this for a number of reasons, my health hasn't been the greatest, for one, and i'm just getting stressed dealing with suppliers (and some customers). But primarily, when I made the first run, i had a great relationship with my supplier, who gave me the blanks at a very good price. They have gone under, and I have found two or three new suppliers, but i've been at their mercy, waiting for machine downtime to set up for a small run. I'm tired of getting screwed around by these guys, and with the increase in price that i had to pass on, i understandibly lost 75% of my orders. I'm not a fab shop, just a cruiser enthusiast that in his dwindling spare time, tried to share his idea. I was never in it for the money, and while I appreciate you guys sticking with me, I can't keep you on the hook...

so for now, I am ceasing my operations. I am hoping that in the fall I will put feelers out to order one last run of 20 snorkels blanks, and once i have the blanks, I will offer them for sale, at a price more in line with my first batch than the second... Instaed of me chasing guys down, taking orders, I will make alimited run, and sell to the first 20 guys that pony up.

I'm keeping old contact IMs, these guys will get first crack at the new snorkles... and it will be at a reduced cost.

I'm sorry if I've left anyone in the lurch, but I'm just not comfortable continuing with how things currently stand.

BTW, that snorkel looks great on there wayne, i'm glad it worked out...

sad to hear you are taking a break but if you have lost the joy then best walk away. is sucks when suppliers disappear and you end up dealing with new suppliers that you can not trust.
