Gauges, Engine/coolant temp

I already know I want to monitor the AT oil temp but does anyone know of a good engine temp gauge kit? Do you monitor the coolant or the oil temp? I took a look around on JCwhitney and SUMMIT and now I am losing my mind......yada yada

Autometer makes a very nice water temp guage. Yes you want water temp, off the t-stat or head.

mechanical is better(more accurate) then eletrical, but routing of the line is more inportant as it carries fluid(in some cases) Elec is just s wire.


I have a autometer z series 2607 in my fj45, the temp range is correct for a f-3fe
