Howdy. Two gas tank vent tubes run from the tank up the passenger firewall and across to the driver side near the brake master cyl. Mine just go into space. Is there supposed to be a "charcoal canister" that they go into on a '71? Someone on an earlier thread mentioned three vent tubes. I'm only finding the two. Tech manual drawings don't even show this arrangement for a '71, though mine is nearly all stock. Suggestions?

I thought about just running them longer and down to the frame area, so fumes are not in the engine compartment. I understand one goes to the filler tube for the tank, and the other to the tank itself. Idiot buddy of mine said just hook them to each other, but I don't think this would be right.

Thanks for the help earlier with the hockey puck motor mounts, but did anyone else notice that the replies varied quite a bit? I did figure it out with help from Specter.

I believe my charcoal canister is in the back of the rear passenger wheel well on my 71.
