For Sale Garvin Wilderness Rack

Hello,

I have a Garvin Wilderness Rack on my FJ40 that I finally am willing to part with. I've had it hanging from the ceiling in my garage for the last 8 years and its better that someone finally get some use out of it. It comes with 4 light tabs and measures about 5' x 5' x 6". I have all the gutter mounts. The rack is in incredibly great shape. The mounts could use a quick coat of rattle can so they match the rack.

I can post up or e-mail pics upon request. But you can see it mounted on my truck if you click on my sig line. I had it there for about 3 months and then had to take it off to park in my garage and it never made it back on. The FJ40 has all the room in the world for my needs.

They weigh about 150lbs, so pick-up is preferred, but if you want to pay for shipping, I'll box it for you and drop it off somewhere convenient. I live next to the port of Baltimore.

Pics uploaded. Sorry for the delay. As you can see it hangs from my ceiling and I had to get all my camping gear off of it before I could lower it and snap pics. I took close up pics of the worst spots. Can take more for those interested. And the lights are NOT included but the mount tabs are. Could be negotiated for additional price but I really like them and they are also in great shape so the price would have to reflect that.

Your dimensions say it's 6" high, but how much overall height does it add to your cruiser after its mounted to the gutters? I guess what I'm asking is if it would be able to be left on the roof of your cruiser and clear a standard 7' garage door?

Prob won't clear a standard garage door with it on your truck. This is the main reason I kept mine off. I'm a one man team with moving things on and off my truck so this became hard for me to do on a regular basis. But it did come in handy a few times when I could call a friend to help me hoist it on. I would say it adds 10" overall from gutter to top of rack.

Nothing really to trade that you could really use, all of my spare parts came from a 74, I'm definitely going to watch this rack though if I get some funds I'll hit you up. I do have two Gary Fisher mountain bikes I could trade.

sounds good, i'll look forward to selling it to someone local. it's a much better deal for someone that way.

I started going away from mountain bikes once I moved from Frederick to Bmore city- no more convenient paths. Been doing sprint tri's since because the pavement is more prevalent for me to practice on, so road/race bikes are my thing now.
