I have a garmin/kenwood G-510 and have been looking for software to get my tracklog out of the unit. Then of course put it to a scan of trail maps etc....Any suggestions?

I don't know your model but my Garmin does have both a USB port and a miniSD card. I can use either one to get the tracks out. I can then simply read them in any number of software packages, including Google Earth. The tracks on the card are just computer files. For the tracks out of the USB I use USAPhotomaps to download them, but I think Garmin also has some built-in protocol to have them accessible simply by a computer.
