Guys I´m considering pulling the trigger on a Garmin 765t. It seems to have a broad feature set for the money. Features that interest me most, ability to play MP3 through my car stereo via FM, hands free call and receive for my cell and as the cherry on top will display a world clock:grinpimp: Yes of course it does all of the rest that a GPS unit is supposed to do. My question, have any of you guys had any experience with this unit and if so what was it?
Thanks,
John

I have the 755t, and I've been pretty happy with it. I typically use it for on the road, and the lifetime traffic is pretty decent if your town/city supports it. I personally think the MP3 & BT functions are useless in that the reviews and feedback have been less than stellar (when I was seriously eyeing the 765). I wouldn't say it is excellent because I had to send the unit back to Garmin because they managed to brick a good chunk of the GPS units out there with a firmware upgrade. The unit works well enough to give it an 8/10. I do recommend you to get the lifetime map updates, which I think it a reasonable price for what you get. The one thing I will say is that Garmin's CS is really topnotch...those guys have impressed me, and I don't have to speak from someone named "Tom" in India.

Thanks for the feedback. Why have you found the MP3 and BT functions useless? Is it because the head unit that you have already has those features or because they really don´t work well on the Garmin unit? Good to hear your positive experience with lifetime traffic and thanks for the heads up on the lifetime map update.

They don't work well in the Garmin units. My factory radio already has an audio in for the MP3, and I shy away from BT for many reasons that range from poor performance to security concerns. Good luck with your choice.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.
