Garage door

Hello guys my garage door have this system ( yup pretty old) to control where it stop when opening and closing.. I adjust it accordingly where I want it stop but for some reason the I don't get yet it works just for few days..

After it close about 6 - 8 inches from where I set ( close to the ground) it happen the same with the top open position ( not full opening the door)..

Any ideas are appreciated..

I mark the pieces along the shaft to know if they are slipping over it .. but don't .. so it must be something else .. I'm gonna check the belt that run the motor ..

I have never seen that syle of garage door opener.

the shaft were T shape pieces are, moves along the door, when they reach the contact stop the motor.

I've been looking for it around the web with no luck .. I know it's kinda old ( like 20 years old ) and right now I'm heading to the brake on the motor ..

to update this and dunno if it's going to help someone .. issue was chain tension .. it was too loose and old was jumping on the sprocket ..

new chain and correct tension solve the issue ..
