Recently we ran into an issue with installing the incorrect lights in our garage door opener. I had installed high lumin LED's for some additional lighting in the garage. Unfortunately, a side effect (unknown to me at the time) is LED interference with the opener signal. Having the bulbs installed greatly reduced the range of the opening when the lights were already on, to the tune of about 15-20' max and sometimes it wouldn't function at all. In the meantime I have replaced the LEDs with heavy duty incandesint bulbs. I have since found LED bulbs that "claim" that they eliminate that interference.

My question is if I install large LED shop lights in the garage will those to cause interference with the opener? Anyone have any experience?
