Quick question, if something happens and a Toyota diesel needs a mechanic or replacement oem parts are they readily available from a Toyota dealer? Are Toyota dealerships or diesel mechanics in the states familiar with these vehicles if they have any issues? I prefer to buy a diesel but just trying to make sure I won’t be dead in the water for months if oem parts aren’t readily available.

The short answer is any mechanic can work on them. But depending on the Toyota dealership or mechanic they may turn you away. With imported diesel many parts are easy, some may take a few days to receive, and others are unobtainable.

OEM parts are readily available from speciality US suppliers and overseas retailers. Our preference is Partsouq, and parts generally ship from the Middle East or Japan and arrive within a week.

Mechanics to work on the diesel would usually be an independent shop vs. a Toyota dealer but depends on your area. We’re available to provide service in Georgia.
