Wanted Fzj80 Chattanooga, TN $7k max

Budget $7k MAX
I am replacing a 98 4runner, have 4 kids so need the 3rd row.

This is a camping, biking, light trail riding vehicle, it doesn't have to be perfect.

have service records of all major maintenance.

Willing to fly to buy if it's worth it.

Only will be driven 5-6k a year.

my 98 4runner has had some recent engine issues, but with 179k its in great shape and would be a good wheeler for anyone that wants to work on the engine. Would trade plus cash on it.

Good luck! I've been looking for a 96-97 80 under 200,000 miles with diff locks. It's becoming hard to find.
There is a small dealer in Lookout Valley that has one with 180k no lockers. I've seen it in person and it's in pretty good shape. Only paint fade is on the fender flares. He was asking $14k and came down to $12k recently.

Ha, I've spoken with him. Actually, I have found more than enough to choose from. I'm more than willing to fly out and get one from somewhere. 150 to $300 gets you a ticket anywhere in the US out of Chattanooga. Finding the right one that has just enough maintenance to get me by is a matter of narrowing it down and patience. The one linked above on Craigslist is a good option. Not too far in Kentucky, I spoke with them today quite a few in Texas too

Tons of service records, Head gasket with all new OEM parts. Just got. Ack from Colorado in it.

Runs well, locked front and rear with custom drive shafts, 35's and 4.88's, trailgear steering components, bumpers, sliders, winch... etc...

Tons of little odds and ends, hand throttle, tailgate storage and more.

Does need a brake booster check valve. Went out on me this weekend finally. Runs fine and have all service records. Wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country, actually we just did.

Pics have rack and other stuff that has been taken off. Asking 10k. Figured I was local in TN and you may be interested.

Don't let the third row seats (or lack of lockers) deter you from any good deals. I am in Chattanooga and have a set of third row seats I might even be tempted to part with - they mostly hang out in my garage. There are plenty of seats around.
