Just curious guys,

But when I was shopping - every 97 I looked at had what appeared to be a new rt side motor mount with newer paint on the frame next to it as if welding was done ??? I saw this on 4 or 5 cruisers all 97 and not on other years - dealers deny any such recall but suggested it could have been done prior to when they received them. Also I consistantly noticed blue spray paint dot on top of front diff - at first I thought these trucks had been abused or ate to many rocks or stumps.

Also why is solid axle better than IFS? - is a a diff clearance issue?

No recalls.

The blue paint is an identifier used on the assembly line.

That's right. It clearly identifies the best year cruiser ever made, end of story. :flipoff2:

My 94 is still running strong on its first motor. :flipoff2: :D
