Hi everyone, hoping someone could help point me in the right direction. I have 185k miles on my recently purchased 96 LC. I noticed when accelerating to get on the freeway I feel like I’m bottoming out the gas pedal to get up to freeway speeds. I also feel like the transmission shifts late after REALLY pressing on the gas. I test drove my buddies 97 LC and there is a noticeable difference on how fast he can get up to 60 (without bottoming out the pedal). I’ve tried tightening up the throttle cables and still get the same results. Any ideas? Do you think my throttle cable is worn and needs to be replaced? No check engine lights, just really slow to get up to speed (60+). Thanks in advance!

I should also probably mention that I just replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, belts, thermostat, radiator, waterpump etc..
